Privacy policy

Last updated September 9, 2026.

When you pick a video, it is read in this browser. Processing stays on your device. We do not upload or store clips on a server.

What stays on your device

The video you select, including any trim points you set.
The GIF or WebP preview and the downloaded file.

What leaves your device

Ordinary page requests: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and this site’s static assets (including the small sample clip if you click it).
On first use, this page may download the converter onto your device. That download is not your video.

Accounts, cookies, and analytics

ClipGIF does not create accounts and does not need a login. Page views are counted with Vercel Web Analytics.

Limits

Browser tabs have limited memory. Large files, long clips, high fps, and wide output can fail or freeze the tab. Those failures happen on your device. Files over 80 MB are rejected, and a single clip is capped at 20 seconds. Phones are stricter than desktops.

Children

This tool is for general use. We do not collect your videos or account data, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
