Terms of use
Last updated September 4, 2026.
ClipGIF is a free, browser-based utility. By using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the converter.
The service
The site lets you encode a short video into an animated GIF using software that runs in your browser. We do not host your videos. The tool is provided “as is” with no uptime, quality, or fitness guarantee. Output can fail because of codecs, memory, or browser bugs.
Your content
You are responsible for the files you process. Only convert videos you have the right to use. Do not use the tool to create or distribute illegal content. We cannot take down a GIF we never received.
Acceptable use
- No automated traffic, scraping for spam, or fake engagement.
- No attempt to overload the public CDNs this page depends on.
- No reverse-engineering for malware or exploit delivery.
Third-party software
Conversion uses FFmpeg WASM and related open-source libraries. Those projects have their own licenses. The first run downloads their engine from a public CDN into your browser.
Liability
To the extent allowed by law, the site operator is not liable for lost files, failed conversions, device crashes, or damages from use of a GIF you created. The tool is free; your remedy is to stop using it.
